Micropiles

Execution of works, consultancy in the field of technology selection and design.

Application:

  • reinforcement of slopes and stabilization of landslides
  • anchoring foundation slabs and other structural elements affected by buoyancy forces
  • strengthening, creating and anchoring excavations
  • foundation of bridges
  • assembly of elements located on hard-to-reach, unstable grounds
  • assembly of elements with high load moment (e.g. power poles)

Advantages:

  • a comparable coefficient of transferring the compressive and pull-out loads. This is due to the fact that micropiles transfer the load on the side surface. As a result, the differences in load capacity usually do not exceed a dozen or so percent. It gives wider possibilities of application.
  • good ratio of load capacity to size of micropile
  • the possibility of introducing micropiles with the help of small equipment. It is especially important when working in tight buildings, as well as on hard-to-reach substrates with poor geotechnical parameters.
  • little nuisance of works
  • small displacements of micropiles
  • can be used in soils with poor parameters
  • the possibility of repairing and strengthening the existing foundations
  • high durability and efficiency of the installation
  • the possibility of a significant reduction in the dimensions of the foundation set on micropiles
  • speed of work in all soil conditions
  • possibility of combining the carrying function of a micropile with the function of a ground heat exchanger – the so-called geothermal micropiles (alternative to traditional exchangers operating in heating systems with the use of heat pumps)
