Cracow – another project for one of our regular clients PTB Tranzyt
Here is the result of our latest project.
As part of the project, we constructed protection of the foundation slab to counteract the uplift pressure of water.
The protection used self-drilling root piles with the following parameters:
✔ 329 root piles
✔ load-bearing capacity ranging from 135 to 270 kN
✔ drill bit diameter: 200 mm
✔ total length: over 2750 running metres.
The root piles were installed at the excavation level beneath the foundation slab.
The work was carried out under challenging conditions – with limited headroom beneath the strut pipes – which required the right choice of equipment, meticulous planning and the team’s expertise.
This time we used a Comacchio MC12 machine with a shortened mast, as the working space was limited to less than 5 metres beneath the struts.
